Shane and Barnett are strategically important to Comcast Business as he is an influencer to the Chief Digital Officer for Burger King Corporation (Trusted Advisor). BK today uses Comcast Business Managed Services and network for all locations, but they have multiple active strategic initiatives for IoT solutions (active pilots ongoing at the corporate Restaurant Innovation Center), active pilots/opps for Dell Edge compute solution (currently hitting a rough patch per Marybeth around this project, so it will be important to garner additional insights from Thibault and Shane), and lastly there is a strategic partnership initiative ongoing with a vision intelligence solution called Solink. (Shane Jacobs is an active Solink customer today). In the restaurant tech space, franchisees provide valuable influence to helping gain adoption at the corporate level.

Shane was an invite from a Burger King leadership team. Local Arizona and Leeds their technology advisory board. He has some interesting feedback on Comcast. He does not like the architectural design and is leading an initiative to have it changed. He also is not happy with the insights and vision he has into his networks at his stores. He would like to see a dashboard.

While talking with Thibault from Burger King, we also found out the deployment experience with Comcast was not very well liked by most of the franchisees.

Shane and I hit it off. He would like to meet with me and Marybeth. I think it would be good for Marybeth to hear his feedback very directly.

He gave us some great feedback about the broiler and shake machine challenges they have as well as temperature monitoring. Being local will give us a great chance to have a meeting about all the different used cases that we have. Russ will work with the account team to follow up.
